Jamila Saab

Jamila Saab

was born in 1986. She grew up in Hannover with her two brothers, her british mother and her father who is Palestinian.

Her first professional stage appearance was at the Schauspielhaus Hannover, were she worked from 2003-2006, after that she studied dance and acting there. In 2008 she portrayed the young Liz Taylor in her first TV appearance „Taylor gegen Burton“ (ARD). Shortly after she moved to Berlin to pursue acting full time.

She is married to the actor Tino Mewes, they met on the filmset of „Zoe“ (Präikat Wertvoll, Golden Palm Award 2011), where she played the leading role for which she was nominated as „Best Actress“ at the Shortcutz Berlin Award 2012. Recently their first child, a baby girl, was born.
